There is also a federal tax on top of that. 10% beer is taxed at $0.11/gallon, 10% wine at $1 per gallon, 10% spirits $0.54/gallon federally and in WA 10% beer is $0.15/ gallon. 10% wine is $0.87/gallon and 10% spirits is $14.27/gallon. So a gallon of malt liquor made from beer would be taxed at $0.26, if they made it from wine it would be taxed at $1.87 and spirits would be $14.81. Making the Chi Chis mix as a wine to pay less in taxes would be insane. ---

Margaritas are a waste of good tequila. I’m not too particular about how someone spikes my slushy. The only mixers I use with my Casadores Anejo are ginger beer or 7-Up. ---

Which is a shame because Back In The Day, Heublein put out some great canned and bottled cocktails. They needed a little “augmenting” but the flavors were very good. I remember with fondness taking their Brass Monkey cocktail in bottles on canoeing/camping trips. ---
