# Marijuana and "the munchies"

I’ve only tried it a couple of times and by golly, I got the munchies. Everyone I know who partakes says they want to eat.

My question is what’s in marijuana that causes this and can it be obtained legally? It’d be nice for those of us who, for whatever reason, would like to put some weight on. Or is there anything else (non-steroid) that increases appetite?
