I thought everyone knew for savory dishes you use magic mushrooms - pizza, any pasta etc ---

[/QUOTE] I think the common practice that I’ve seen for some of these recipes is to butter or oil activate the marijuana at a low and steady sautee/bubble _and leave in and utilize the greenage_, wasting nothing. The better way to do the duncan hines, would be to add the clippings to the measured oil required for the cake or brownie recipe in a saucepan ahead of time, low sautee for several minutes, let it cool, and then add _the whole thing_ to the rest of the batter ingredients. Or at least thats how I saw it done in a High Times I once perused. Never tried it myself. ---

[/QUOTE] The principle behind using ghee is that THC is readily soluble in fat, but nearly entirely insoluble in water. At the end of the process of making ghee, virtually all of the desirable qualities of the herb are in the purified butter – crude solids and an aqueous solution are discarded waste material, having nothing of significant value in them, and much that is _undesirable_ for cooking or baking. ie; if you take the time to make the ghee - you could then make one batch of cookies with the ghee, which would taste yummy and give you a nice buzz, and make another batch using the leftover solids, which would taste like ass and have absoultely no buzz. It works sorta like the transporter malfunction in the original _Star Trek_. Okay, more like the one in _Red Dwarf_. ---
