[YouTube took the video down, but it’s linked here](http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,334709,00.html), along with the news article, so you can read the article without clicking on the video (which I have no intention of doing.) Everyone at the Marine base in Hawaii is horrified. All I can say is…I hope your fellow Marines find you first, you utter disgrace to the uniform. I hope it’s just a nasty joke. ---

It looks to me like there is some sort of edit about halfway throught the video. Pretty outrageous either way, though. ---

I vote we change the title of this thread to something more like: **Worthless Piece of Shit Throws Puppy** I really don’t understand the relevance of him being a Marine - it’s not like his military background had anything to do with it. ---

That doesn’t look like an edit to me, it just looks like a cameraphone’s jerkiness. It looks like all one shot to me. And you can hear it yelping, Dopplering off into the distance. That’s really stomach-turning. I’ve seen and heard pix of animal torture before, but it’s the joking around that makes it worse, like, “Hey, this is no biggie…” And his friend goes, “That was mean”, and he shrugs, grinning. It’s relevant that he’s a Marine because the Marines themselves tout their organization as being an elite organization, and one tends to assume that an elite organization would have somehow weeded out all the puppy-torturers. ---

[/QUOTE] I don’t buy it. I could say that Harvard is an elite organization, but they’ve had [whack jobs](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theodore_Kaczynski) too. The Marines are indeed elite - physically and mentally - but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t some sadistic fucks that can make it through boot. ---

[/QUOTE] How is it \*not \*relevant? He’s over there (Iraq, supposedly) AS a Marine, not as a tourist. He’s in uniform and everything. While there, he IS the USA. Right now, the USA looks like a douchebag. ---

Is that the most sloppy headline ever, or am I just not understanding it correctly? (Do they think they’re being cute by referring to the marines as “puppies”? That doesn’t even make sense…) ---
