**Verrain** and I are planning on coming Saturday, with Friday up in the air on what will happen. I still can’t believe my Uncle Rocky was going to throw it away. It’s the coolest hat _ever_. I’m now very glad that I missed last year’s NY Dopefest, since the dress code was mini-skirts; I look much better in my brown Genuine Leather Great Adventurer Indiana Jonesish Hat than I do in a mini-skirt. As Billdo has kindly offered me his floor, I will be there for sure. I can’t wait to see everyone I met two years ago, and I’m looking forward to meeting a bunch of new Dopers, too. Montreal contingent: **scott evil** , **Daerlyn** & **matt\_mcl**. **Daerlyn** has a tendency to not show up for things though ;). I haven’t contacted **Eonwe** yet, but it would be cool if we could take the bus to Burlington Thursday night, stay at his place, and drive down with him on Friday. **Elenfair** said she might be driving after all, so **Elly** , dear, if **Eonwe** bails (like he bailed on Doperéal 😉 )would you mind making a detour through Montreal? I think you _have_ to drive through Montreal anyway to get to whatever highway it is. It would save us even more money. I guess we’ll be staying at the **Maeglin House of Horrors and Snarkiness** … Be forewarned: 1. I’ll be pimping **SugarDope** (sugaring off north of Montreal, end of March) endlessly, and 2. **matt** will no doubt want to take 50 billion pictures of the subway, even though yours is ugly and urine-stinking. ::d&r:: ---

I think the Indiana Jones style hat is in the fedora family. And I’d be more than willing to wander the NYC subway for hours with Matt taking pictures. I’d even bring my digital camera along. Subways are cool. ---

Ah, the Fall-Winter DopeFest season coalesces. Well, I’m going to try. And darling, you helped me two years ago with the ant situation, and I appreciated it VERY much…this time, it wasn’t so much an ant problem as a deck problem. I have known for some time that I needed to get rid of that old deck, and had saved $2000 bucks to build a new one. But when I got the bids, it turned out that it was going to cost me over 3K, and the ants, who apparently LOVE rotten wood, were moving in in HOARDS…I didn’t really feel I had any other choice but to get rid of the old deck and build a new one. Which was, as it turned out, a GOOD thing…my builder was able to rip the old one off manually. He is a nice guy, and he espressed relief that I hadn’t fallen through it on my way to work one morning. So all is well, except that I am short on disposable funds at the moment. Anyway, thanks for the help in the past, and I knew you would help me darlin’…just seemed like the right time to solve the problem permanently instead of dealing with the symptoms. I’m going to try to come, we will just have to see. Love you! And **TruePisces** (and **Verrain** by virtue of fianceness 🙂 ) you can have all the hugs you can stand when I ever get out that way!
