And why would you lump in porn with aggression? Or unemotional with either? Someone who is unemotional isn’t going to be interested in porn ( or women for that matter ), nor are they going to be aggressive. And I’d expect someone who is into porn to be less aggressive towards women because they have another outlet. God. That is so _interesting_\*\* Porn makes men less aggressive because they have “another outlet.” For what? Sex with women calms men down? Makes them less liable to rape? What is it about misongynists that blames the agression of males on the fact that they just cannot get enough sex from women? Really? If only… If only…they could find a good, reliable, exciting sexual partner…if every male could achieve this Zanadu…there _would_ be no rape.\*\* Bleh. ---

Actually, you could turn it around and say that they were offering sex as a bribe to stay home. It’s hardly effective blackmail if the men are still denied sex if they comply. WTF? I have to disagree with the idea that men liking porn has anything to do with emotions. Even people with mental disorders that prevent them from having emotional relationships (Asbergers, Schitzo-effective PD, etc.) still like sex and porn. And don’t forget the BBC studies showing that “falling in love” is more of a physical response than an emotional one… Heck, porn can be seen as a fulfillment of a dominant fantasy. My simple brain could think that I’ve just made these women pose like that just for my pleasure. In other words, I just got rewarded for being aggressive! (No, reward =/= emotion. Basic human psychology requires you to enjoy what you are doing, even aggression. You think people would be aggressive if they didn’t get some pleasure out of it?) ---

That’s not exactly the argument that’s being offered. We are, after all, talking specifically about that subset of men who are predisposed to rape. Most men are not rapists. No amount of not getting laid is going to turn the average man into a rapist. Of those who will rape, the reasons why they attack women are not going to be uniform. Certainly, for some uncertain percentage of them, the urge to commit sexual violence is present regardless of other possible outlets. But it does not seem at all exceptional to me to suggest that some portion of potential rapists do so because their sex drive is frustrated by a lack of outlets, and so they create one without regard to the willingness of the other person. Do Fathers “come clean” about these things to their daughters when the daughters begin to date? Don’t think so. They check out the short skirts of their daughters…they ‘size up’ the “intentions” of the males dating their daughters… … and then keep their effin mouths shut. And why is that? Oh. My.God. How females need to be educated. Males will say **anything** to get the panties off some female. Why won’t Dads share that? Honestly? It boggles the mind. ---
