# Marsupialization!

In the realm of the mundane and pointless, there are few things more M&P than this: I just learned that there is a medical procedure called “marsupialization.” The mental image this begets is plenty arresting, when we consider the equipment your average kangaroo has: for the female, two vaginas, and a nipple-equipped abdominal pouch for the handy transport of the young; and for the male, a two-pronged (but single-purpose) penis.
But alas… in the medical sense, “marsupialization” simply means the surgical evacution of an unremovable cyst. Something of a letdown, that.
