Watched the mini, never read the book by Bradbury, did the last part imply we’re dealing with some kind of timeloop? Mars and Earth and back again, rinse repeat?

No. Earth had been destroyed. There would never be any going back. The erstwhile Earthlings, and their descendants, are now Martians.
