A giant Cylinder, with an unscrewable end, was found in Scotland. It’s occupants had fled, & are now believed to be working as janitors, gardener & fast-food employees. Indeed. It looks like a rusty gas float. It requires a certain amount of scientific education to perceive that the grey scale of the Thing is no common oxide, that the yellowish-white metal that gleams in the crack between the lid and the cylinder has an unfamiliar hue. “Extraterrestrial” has no meaning for most of the onlookers. ---
