The FBI has [found](http://www.snopes.com/2016/06/25/fbi-no-evidence-that-orlando-shooter-was-gay/) no evidence that Mateen visited gay nighclubs (even Pulse), used gay dating apps, or had gay lovers. ---

I’m not sure what to make of that. It’s certainly believable, and it may be the truth.
