Her main claim to fame and the reason she won the peace prize is her opposition to Maduro. Trump attacking Maduro’s drug dealing allies hurts Maduro and serves her interests, of course she’d be for it. The main reasons to oppose Trump’s actions are all domestic. It’s an abuse of his military power, it’s an attack on our nation’s institutions, etc. It’s undoubtedly bad for American democracy, and from the inside where that’s our primary concern, it’s unquestionably bad. From her perspective, where the situation in Venezuela is of much greater concern than the state of democracy in the United States, there are very few reasons to oppose these strikes. ---

Past winners of the Nobel Peace Prize include Henry Kissinger and Yassar Arafat. And let’s not forget Alfred Nobel only created the Peace Prize after his obituary was prematurely published with the lead “The merchant of death is dead” and he didn’t want to be remembered posthumously for what he was during his lifetime: an arms manufacturer who made his fortune selling weapons to anyone who would buy them. ---

Just a friendly reminder: Trump’s seeming super power of committing brand new atrocities every so often (ICE murders, Bad Bunny conniptions) continue to push old atrocities out of the public mind has happened again. He murdered another 2 imagined mules yesterday with nary a peep. At least we have our first civil suit for wrongful death. Because Og forbid enough Republicans have the fucking balls to stand up to him. ---

The very first boat that was struck when it could have been intercepted should have had consequences of some kind. The entire chain of command from Kegbreath to the guy who pushed the button should have been prosecuted for murder, and prosecute trump if he lives through his term. ---

They can just track them from space, and if they approach U.S. waters they can be intercepted. There is then no need the waste whatever weapons they’ve been using to strike the boats when the crew can just be killed with machine gun fire. The boats themselves might actually be salvageable. /s ---
