Again, this would be only useful to Trump and his gang as an excuse, the SA nation would have nothing to gain and a lot to lose. ---

The only intelligent option Colombia has is to wait. Sooner or later Trump and company will need something from them, or a group of SA nations or the U.N., and _then_ use the memory of these atrocities to keep them from getting it. ---

Yeah I’m sure Trump and his rabid MAGA followers would wait until they had definitive proof that it was not an accident… There’s no way they would take even an _actual_ accident and use it as a _casus belli_ , not them, sober, level-headed people… ---

The South American nations under discussion need to hope that those American vessels don’t sink of their own accord, lest they draw the blame from certain _casus belli_ seeking lunatics for what should be a conventional fault-free act of God. ---

Speaking of, is there any indication that drugs entering this country have decreased, at all? If the Navy is sinking these pernicious drug boats, it must be making a dent. Are drug addicts being forced to go cold turkey? Are fewer red state HS kids dying from fentanyl ODs? ---

Since fentanyl does not come from Venezuela I think the effect on the fentanyl stats is probably minimal. ---
