Two-parter airing on PBS April 22 & 29: [_Birdsong_](http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/birdsong/) For those of us who are still experiencing withdrawal from Downton Abbey. It sounds a bit grim in the _[Wall Street Journal](http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702303425504577353971599885842.html?mod=WSJ_GoogleNews#articleTabs%3Darticle)_ review-- slogging through WWI trenches and all-- but the review also says, “As a tapestry of time and place, \*Birdsong \*is a wonder to behold.” Same time as _Mad Men,_ so I’ll be recording both. 🆒 ---

Darn–it’s on the same time as _Mad Men_, and the rerun is on the same time as _Smash_. Maybe they’ll show it over the weekend, too.
