# Masturbation in the Restroom ? ? ?

I read recently (Maxim magazine I think, maybe Esquire though) that an astoundingly high number of men had masturbated in their office restrooms. The figure of 40% is coming to mind, but even half that would seem high to me. (If this is true, then of my four male co-workers in this office, I’m pretty sure which two of them would be the jerkers.)
Anyhow, my General Question is this: Is this a strictly male practice or not, and has anyone ever seen a similar statistic for women?
(I bet views to replies ratio will be 20:1 for this thread.)

I don’t have a cite for this, but I once heard/read/was told about a figure of something like 60% of women surveyed had at least once masturbated while sitting in morning/afternoon traffic…
Not sure I believe the real number is anywhere that high, as much as I’d like it to be.

I haven’t seen any statistics, but given the fact that women generally take longer to. . . um. . . finish, I think that fewer women would partake in this activity.
I mean a guy can get off in a couple minutes, but I think a woman would have to go home for lunch to “get the job done”.

Don’t get me wrong, because I don’t mind if individuals want to go on record about if they have pleasured themselves in the restroom or in their car or on the bus, but please let us know if you are male or female.
My OP was asking if anyone knew what percentage of women do this, so if we’re going to count 'em one at a time we’ll need to know your gender to make it accurate.

yeah, I’ve done it in the bathroom at work, a couple of times. Combination of boredom and happening across something online that, um, interested me.
Now that I think about it, I’ve even done it in the bathroom of my hometown public library, when I was in high school. I had just discovered the library’s illustrated copy of the Kama Sutra. 😃

I’ve heard plenty of stories about women being able to masturbate wherever they choose once they’ve learned the technique of flexing their thighs together or crossing their legs and gently swinging the upper leg.
For that I am particularly envious.

Yes, back in the days when we had a private restroom. I don’t think I could do such a thing in a stall. For the record, my wife says she’s done it too.
By the way, what kind of generalization is it to say that it takes women longer? I don’t think that’s necessarily true. If said woman goes into the bathroom already torqued up about something, I don’t imagine it would take long at all. After all, we’re talking about a gender that can have an orgasm on the seam of their jeans. I don’t many guys that can do that.
