When you masturbate, and you stop just before it comes out. Is that bad for you? Since it’s already been produced and is inside? I don’t know why i’m asking this. A friend of mine asked me today and i didn’t have a answer. ---

IANADoctor, but “it” isn’t spontaneously produced during orgasm, it’s always there, just released at the proper time. If you stop before orgasm, I don’t see how there could be any harmfull effects, besides the feeling commonly described as “blue balls.” If you were to physically BLOCK ejaculation from occuring, via a finger over your urethra, I can’t imagine that would be a good thing. ---

Blocking the urethra to prevent external ejaculation generally results in the ejaculate ending up in the bladder. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but can be a bit discomfituring to those not familiar with the sensation. Some experts have proposed that all those chemicals, including sperm, in the bladder could pre-dispose one to bladder cancer, but there’s no evidence saying it is so. This “retrograde ejaculation” is used by some as a crude (and not very effective) form of birth control. Sense impending orgasm, sqeeze firmly at the base of the penis, and voila! Much less semen in the vagina. If a male masturbates to near orgasm and then stops, seminal fluids are mobilized, and prepared for ejaculation, then not released. Meanwhile the prostate has geared up to produce more fluid. So one can get localized tissue swelling and an uncomfortable feeling. This is not harmful, however. Modern medicine has ensured that “blue balls” is not the automatic death sentence that so many generations of teen-aged boys claimed it to be. QtM, MD ---

FYI, cutting off the urethra at the base of the testicles during ejaculation produces and entirely different feeling than normal orgasm. Try it… just don’t blow up. ---

My mother once told me (:eek: ) that Japanese men often engage in Coitus Interruptus…making love just shy of orgasm, and then just stopping. Denying themselves the pleasure of Completing the Act is supposed to make them stronger, healthier, live longer, etc. ---

This resulted in a vastly superior orgasm compared to uncontrolled ejaculation. Timing is important however as orgasm can occur accidently without the “contractions” resulting in dissapointment. ---
