# Math/Computer types: Anyone tried out the prime number algorithm?

Yes, I admit to being a total math/computer science weenie. All I need is the degree to prove it. In any case, [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?=&threadid=129986) thread talks about some Indian mathematicians devising a new algorithm. Work and other commitments have intruded, but I’m curious: have any math or computer hobbyists here tried to code it? Does it work like they say?
