# MathJax has been added in to the SDMB. \[Like TeX/LaTeX\]

I guess I can just use Unicode if I want to discuss 𝔸 𝔼 𝕊 𝕋 ℍ 𝔼 𝕋 𝕀 ℂ 𝕊. But it’s not quite the same.

It’s the only currently available option, however, so there’s a 0% chance it won’t be used when posters think color and/or fonts are appropriate.

We were always very sparing with its use on our old software, even though the option was front-and-center. Thus I don’t expect such use to become a problem. (Same as I said about animated GIFs\*)

Ultimately, it’s just LaTEX, and of course a lot of people here know how to use that.

\* It still would be nice to add an option to prevent animated GIFs from autoplaying. But I presume that would require hosing a preview image.

Folks around here don’t tend to pay much attention to what something is meant to be used for, being rather more interested in what it can be used for. Not that most of us will use things just because we can, but sometimes there’s a real practical use.
