Banning incandescent lights doesn’t make us live like the Amish, it just reduces our energy use and causes less fossil fuels to be burned. We don’t have to forgo the modern lifestyle, but we do need to leverage new technologies to lessen the impact we have on the planet.

Briefly, in the way a tourniquet helps stanch a major wound. Doesn’t heal the wound or mitigate the chances of the next one happening.

Every homeless person has a reason why they’re homeless, and not all of them are so easily soluable - Mental illness is high on the list. I personally know homeless persons whom would violently reject such an offer - and others that frankly would be a disaster in a _normal_ ‘home’ situation.

I’ll believe in STDS when people stop having risky sex.
I’ll belive that deficits are a problem when the government stops running deficits.
I’ll believe that stupid arguments are a problem when people stop making stupid arguments.
But seriously, the biggest problem with this argument is that there are many people who do in fact act as if they believe in human caused climate change, but they do so in reasonable ways. They advocate and invest in the use of carbon neutral energy sources. They adjust their thermostat. They purchase electric or hybrid vehicles.
Sure, some of those actions are more effective than others, but people and governments _are_ acting. They’re just not acting in ways that are so radical that they’d render us incapable of addressing other problems we face.
Sure let’s all give up on modern technology and then watch as the world’s population is drastically reduced by starvation and disease.
I suppose that would stop climate change, but is it really an acceptable alternative?

When I read the title and saw the name of the poster I thought to myself, _well I’ll be darned, I thought that fella was just a trolly anti-liberal doofus, but maybe we see eye-to-eye on climate change. Ain’t that nice to find._
This was on the assumption that the title was surely an ironic pitting of anyone who would be stupid enough to posit that climate change can’t be taken seriously until every climate scientist is riding a horse-drawn buggy.
Ah **GWD** , you never fail to disappoint.
How’s about we don’t listen to climate change deniers until they stop taking money from fossil fuel industries?
Or, . . . Ahh fergeddid. You just went full troll as far as I’m concerned.
