I think McConaughey is hysterical ( i am not sure if he means to be…) I find him entertaining and I would love to see him as Magnum PI ---

It’s strange because if it’s a serious movie I don’t see why they can’t just stick with Selleck and set it in present times. ---

[It gets worse . . .](http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00006798.html) “According to Teletext UK, the writer and director for the flick, Rawson Marshall Thurber, has enlisted Matthew McConaughey as his top choice to play the title character with Steve Zahn, William H. Macy, and Tyrese Gibson rounding out the supporting cast to play Rick, T.C., and Higgins, respectively.” Zahn I have no opinion about, but much as I love Macy, I can’t see Higgins in him, unless they rewrite the role. As for Thurber, he’s got little apart from writing “Dodgeball,” and according to the IMDB, considers the best comedy ever made to be “Ghostbusters.” Make of that what you will. I’ll probably pass on this one. ---

I think Steve Zahn is a very good choice for Rick, Gibson is passable for TC, but I really can’t see Macy as Higgins. David Strathairn would be excellent as Higgins. ---
