No, actually there were no burn marks on his body.
The police officers that first freed his body thought they saw burn marks, but these were later found to be welts & bruises from the beating with a gun & fists. The autopsy & medical records don’t have any mention of burns.

And that makes it all better? BULLSHIT!

And, as was posted above, the autopsy showed NO drugs, and Shepherd had NO history as a drug user.

The gay panic claim is a temporary insanity claim.

Note that outside of one individual who made up claims, no other source involved with this case believes this conspiracy theory.

Either way, the gay panic defense was an attempt at second degree murder. The distinction is whether the murder happened in the course of the robbery. If the robbery was premeditated then the murder is first degree or felony murder. If the robbery happened after the gay panic murder then it is separate and thus is second degree murder.
