That’s the one. Snake strung the piano wire to behead Homer but Homer was bent over picking something up off the floor of the car or something. Meanwhile, Kirk came by angrily waving a sandwich that take-out place hadn’t cut in half, leading one to expect that the piano wire would cut the sandwich, but instead it sliced off his hand. He had it back by the end of the episode, though; he was shown carrying his arm in a sling.

Last night’s show was a let-down; they didn’t spend enough time mourning Maude.

Best gag: Bart’s playing a Christian video game, where you fire crosses at people to convert them. He gets one and cheers, but Todd Flanders says, “No, you just nicked him. Now he’s a Unitarian!”

Was the Christian-rock singer a real person?
