I seem to recall some of all y’all 'merkins on this board have an obsession with Kinder Surprise chocolate eggies. With the approach of Easter I see, stocked in Canadian stores, the big ones, called “Maxi Kinder Surprise”. They’re about the size of a large orange or small grapefruit, stretched a bit into egg shape. They’re pretty light, not much weight to them. There’s a babbling blurb on the package concerning the large toy inside. In the Bay department store they’re CDN$11.99, in the Superstore discount grocery store they’re about CDN$8.99. That converts to about ten cents in American dollars. Get to work on your Canadian connections if this drives you wild with materialistic desire. Easter would appear to be the season for these eggs. ---

I believe I’m the one with the Maxi Egg obsession (are there others like me?). I was oh-so-bitter because when I was in Banff in early Feb all the Valentines candy was still in place, preventing me from buying the fabled Chocolate-egg-filled-with-chokable-parts in the extra large size. Grrrrrrrrr. Anyone who wants to cut a deal on a Maxi Egg – I am willing to provide the equivalent ($8-10 CAN) in American candy or snack food of your choice in exchange. ---

Kinder eggs rock!! **Tatertot** sent a kinder egg advent calander to me a couple years ago and I gave it to my grandma but grandma shared. 🙂 That was some of the best chocolate I’ve had… and the toys were cool too! ---

I would _love_ to get some Canadian candy. But last time anyone tried to send me Kinder Eggs they got smashed open by Customs in case there were drugs being smuggled in the centers or something. ☹ ---

Maybe we could set up some sort of list of who wants Canadian candy/American candy and what? Kinder eggs being the Prime Directive here, of course? Do we have that many people that want it? I claim **Hello Again** , though! Any kind of candy is good-do you want some little, or a MondoEgg, or both for variety’s sake? This is so weird, because I just saw a commercial for Kinder Eggs on TV. My first thought was “Wow! Finally Kinder Eggs come to America!” Then I realized I was watching the Canadian channel. Why do you mock me, oh lord? ---

I love Kinder Eggs, but I have to say that the maxi egg toys are rather dull comapred to the mini ones. After buying several through the years, I Think I will stick with the minis. Ebay, by the way, sells them. The new eggs and just the toys. ---

Okay, folks, I’ve fixed my profile. If you wanna get hooked up with some sweet candies, email me. I’ll try to hook ya up with someone who wants to give you those candies. Sound good? Thought so. This is _way_ more fun than just buying them on Ebay-You get a surprise in return! So far, I’m thinking **bouv** and **rainchikki** are looking for a “dealer”… Please tell me what you can supply/what you want/where you are/if you do or don’t want to send to someone or somewhere specific. Maybe those crazy people overseas could get in on that too, if the postage is willing. And if you’re the only one that signs up, then you’re SOL, so everybody join in! ---

For those of you in Canada (or elsewhere!) who might want reciprocal goodies, I can get the following candy bars and items extremely easily down here, although from what I’ve heard from others they are fairly rare in other regions: - Divinity (with or without pecans) - Valomilk - Zero - Zagnut - Skybar Plus the usual array of Hershey’s items. ---

I’m IN! I can supply those oh-so-hard-to-find Kinder goodies, Big Turks, candy pebbles, and Aero bars of all flavours. I’m looking for: REAL horehound, Screaming Yellow Zonkers (long boring story omitted…),Bhutan Rice Candy, and/or some of those Dulce de Leche M&M’s. Please please please… ---

Spoiler Alert! (as if it’s going to stop anybody) I just got back from Superstore, the wife and I were grabbing some bargains, 10 lbs whole wheat flour $2.18, 10 lbs grapefruit $4.88, etc. As we passed the cargo pallets loaded with Maxi Kinder Surprises I noticed the cases they were packed in. “7 gigantic prizes to collect”, with pictures on the case. Well, no effort is too great for the Fighters Against Ignorance, so I borrowed a pen and scrawled some notes on my shopping list: (1) A pontoon seaplane, bubble cockpit, low slung wings, big pontoons. (2) A VW bug (3) a two dimensional rhinocerous with moving parts and some kind of sloping ramp he walks down (4) (my favourite) a sport sailboat, triangular sail, big keel, working rudder (5) A little square building, a “Bank”, no doubt the one the makers of Kinder Surprise are laughing all the way to. (6) some kind of drag racer type four wheel vehicle with a rear propeller and a horizontal propeller on top of the cab. (7) A wind vane with a big flat hand as a sail and a propeller with a little gnome doll turning a crank attached to the propeller. ---

Ooh! This could be fun! OK…what can I supply the masses with: Stewart’s Soda (not from the Stewart’s Shops, but the ones in the glass bottle. The orange 'n cream, rootbeer, Gingerbeer, cherry, etc…)(BEST SODA IN THE WORLD!!!) I _might_ be able to find Screeming Yellow Zonkers Humpty Dumpty chips Mad House Munchies (a local-ish kettle chip company) Cape Cod Chips local maple syrup products (you haven’t lived if you’ve never had a piece of vermont maple sugar) ---
