Contact Maeglin (maeglin@dogsofwar.ws) for details. **Saturday Afternoon Sightseeing:** Upper West Side Highlights Meet at Billdo’s apartment on West 72nd Street at 1:00 p.m. (please be prompt) Contact Billdo ([Billdo@nyc.rr.com](mailto:Billdo@nyc.rr.com)) for his address and directions and to let him know you’ll be coming. We’ll start with a short walk through Central Park. We’ll then pay an extended visit to the [American Museum of Natural History](http://amnh.com/home/index.html). After the museum we’ll walk over to Broadway, where we’ll see some West Side institutions like Zabars, the Beacon Theater, Fairway, the Ansonia, and, time and interest permitting, head all the way down to Lincoln Center. We’ll then go back to Billdo’s apartment for light refreshments and head to dinner from there. **Sunday Brunch:** Bagel Brunch at Billdo’s A New York City brunch at Billdo’s apartment from 11 a.m. to around 2 p.m. Contact Billdo ([Billdo@nyc.rr.com](mailto:Billdo@nyc.rr.com)) for his address and directions and to let him know you’ll be coming. After brunch you can stop by the West 77th Street Sunday Flea Market, or perhaps someone will arrange another sightseeing trip to a NYC attraction. **DIRECTIONS** : **From Upstate NY:** Take NYS Thruway south over Tappan Zee Bridge. After bridge, follow signs for Saw Mill Parkway south. Saw Mill will turn into the Henry Hudson Parkway (Route 9A), which you should take to West 79th Street Exit, and then see below. **From Northern NJ and points West:** Take I-80 across George Washington Bridge. From bridge take Henry Hudson Parkway (Route 9A) south to West 79th Street Exit, and then see below. \*\*From New England:\*\*Take I-95 south to Henry Hudson Parkway (Route 9A) south to West 79th Street Exit, and then see below. **From West 79th St. Exit of Henry Hudson:** Follow circle at end of off ramp 3/4 way around to West 79th Street. Take West 79th to end (Columbus Avenue) and turn right. Go two blocks to West 77th Street and turn right. Go one block and across Amsterdam Avenue, and you should see several [parking garages](http://www.ci.nyc.ny.us/html/dcp/html/dcptd/mnw16.html). **From Central NJ and points South:** Take NJ Turnpike (I-95) north to Lincoln Tunnel. After tunnel, follow signs to 10th Avenue. Proceed north on 10th Ave, which will change into Amsterdam Avenue after 59th Street. You will find [parking garages](http://www.ci.nyc.ny.us/html/dcp/html/dcptd/mnw16.html) off Amsterdam at around 77th Street. **Subway:** Take 1 train to 79th Street or B/C train to 81st Street/Museum of Natural History. **Lodging:** If you’d like to crash on a doper’s couch, floor or other horizontal surface, post here and I’m sure you’ll get several offers. Oh, I hate to miss this, but I can’t make it. Finals are approaching, and I work all that weekend. And sadly, my 20th birthday falls smack damn in the middle of finals (I have 2 finals on my actual birthday!), so after finals I’ve already made plans to spend Memorial Day weekend celebrating in Ocean City, MD, catching rays on the beach for three days straight. Therefore the money’s a little tight too. Maybe one of you girlies can get smashed in my honor. In any case, I expect to be mentioned in some sort of tribute toast - maybe even a short vigil in my honor involving candlelight and my photograph. 🙂 ---

and not keeping the attendant list updated. We’re heading for a full-out Corporate Politics China Syndrome, with federal civil-rights/racial discrimination implications, here at work. Too many bozos in middle mgt. padding the payroll with their incompetent, slacker buddies. It won’t come to crisis in time to derail my plans, so I’m still up for this, though my Memorial Day plans may be well and truly screwed. I think I can muscle it - driving’s easy 😉 … Finals complete next week upon which I’ll find myself looking to do stuff. So, like, _count me in._ (You know, at the January-fest I had a bad sinus infection, I could barely hear anyone talk! kinda sucked, and I didn’t get to meet a buncha folks _sob_ Yes, I’m fucking crying over here! :p) Now check this! **Oldscratch** just moved on over to the east coast. He’s decided to come. Woo, can you dig it? The current plan: We’re gonna chill in Atlanta, then head on up. That’s the plan… the details will have to be ironed out, of course. Green Bean has sprouted and Grok will take it the completeness of it. In news of the possibles, Silo will perhaps appear, likely bringing along newly transplaned East Coaster Oldscratch. When asked for comment, Falcon stated “Woo!” In a related story, brachyrynchos announced that she was ashamed to admit her Straight Dope addiction to her family, and will be avoiding us rather than letting her brother in on the secret. Devilish creatures from the dark side were heard to mutter, “Bring him along, maybe we can get him hooked too.” Elsewhere, in anticipation of a Corporate Politics China Syndrome, ExTank has decided to divest himself of all of his worldly assets by buying the first round. Biggirl doubts he’ll be able to afford this, but highly placed sources report that he’s been filling out dozens of the “pre-approved” credit card applications he gets in the mail to prepare himself financially for the event. In other news, Geobabe is rampantly flirting with Billdo based on his impressive command of vB code. Meanwhile, her offer to french kiss all of the guys is merely being done in honor of Nacho4Sara, who sadly will not be able to attend, and contains no actual flirting content. Another non-attendee who will be missed is OpalCat, who was said to be jealous of those who can come, but is believed to be reconsidering her position after DAVEW0071’s offer to “find someone” to french kiss her.
