I was just reading an article on [CNN.com](http://CNN.com) [Here](http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/europe/05/01/europe.mayday/index.html) and it seems to me like Europeans take this May day holiday much more seriously than we here in the States. Why? What’s the big deal about the first of May, and it’s seeming connection to unions? Any Euro-dopers with the low down on this?
