I’m on the Highway this morning when I look into my rear view window. Here comes an obnoxiously huge Ford Expedition on Steriods. It had the dual intake holes in the hood, limo tint all the way around and those hideous chrome hubcaps that move against the direction the wheel is spinning, and when you stop they continue to spin…There is traffic ahead of me and he is coming up really fast. It’s a two lane highway. He goes into the right lane, passes me and then is forced to hit his brakes rather hard because of the traffic ahead. I slam on y breaks only to see a huge emblazoned Bald Eagle with _ **"May God Have Mercy** _" on the top in big 7 inch letters and _ **"Because We Don’t** _" on the bottom and _**"(USA)"**_ above that. I’m a patriot…but come now! isn’t this a little much??? I’m all for people being patriotic, but when you have a huge sign on your back window like this and behave like a jackass it doesn’t give the best picture of Americans to foreigners… ---

“MIGHT IS RIGHT GODDAMNIT!” I don’t really know what else to say about people like that. It reminds me of the time I was watching tv with a guy where a bunch of protesting Iranians came up and said, “You know someone just ought to take a machinegun and mow all of them down.” Its extreme and stupid. Ugh. I am glad I don’t have to deal with that ATM, but I’ll have to before too long. ---

It’s a reference to John McCain’s quote back on September 12, 2001. “I say to our enemies, we are coming. God may show you mercy. We will not.” Note that it was specifically geared toward the people who perpetrated the attacks. Now, it’s twisted around to be a pro-war get-out-of-our-way rah-rah bumper sticker. Disgusting. ---

IMHO AFAIK IIRC, ATM meant “at the moment.” BTW OTOH, FWIW I think we use way to many abbreviations, but I still like it FFS, but YMMV. OMGWTFBBQ ---

I kinda like the idea of getting a bumpersticker with the words **MIGHT MAKES RIGHT** in front of a waving American Flag motif. It’d go well with a red-white-blue bumpersticker saying **I’M A JINGOISTIC DUMBASS – AND I VOTE!** Daniel ---

I had an Econ teacher in high school tell the class that if he were president during the Iranian hostage crisis he would have nuked the entire country. It’s scary to think that he was a popular teacher and most kids looked up to him and his opinion. ---
