# May I ask a favour? (re: Chicago marathon)

Congratulations! They say there’s two halves, you know - the first one is 20 miles and the second is 6.2. I’ll be perfectly happy with 5:33 this time next year, I assure you. 🙂

My running buddy is from Detroit and has run both Chicago and Detroit several times. At least twice he ran Chicago and Detroit in the same year (they are 1 or 2 weeks apart).  
He said Detroit is a really nice course. And it is nice that it isn’t as crowded as Chicago. But in addition to fewer runners there are many fewer spectators, and he said it got a little lonely at times running around the island that is part of the course.  
Do they still end up right in the stadium? Used to make for a cool finish line photo op.
