Cite from SSM advocates, please. I think you are deliberately misinterpreting to support your own views on the subject.
You’ve created quite the elaborate fiction, there. Even if true and they’re going to be pissed regardless, why not grant them legal recognition of their marriages anyway? What harm would it do?
I’ve come to realize, using your methodology, that SSM opponents are all actually hyperventilating hippopotamuses trapped in a space station. (I assume your methodology is the inappropriate use of horse tranquilizers).
May I suggest that, in future, you try a different methodology for revelation–namely, try reading the arguments put forward and evaluating them on their merits, rather than engaging in a constant stream of inane ad hominems?
Well, I daresay that just as Shiloh assumes SSM advocates will be forever pissed regardless of how the legal issues play out, we can assume he’ll be forever assuming things about them… regardless of how the legal issues play out.
This is the finest example of psychological projection I have seen in this forum in months.
Many, (not all), SSM opponents are so opposed to homosexuals being treated as humans and citizens with equal rights that they fear not just their right to live and work openly in society, but that they might actually be accorded decent treatment under law for all situations. That is surely coming and they are doomed to be pissed forever when it happens.
::: shrug :::
Based on the fact that Dan Cathy supported organizations that publishes libel against gay people, he is by nature a bigot. Even if he didn’t support libel, his religious beliefs make him homophobic in effect if not in intent. Claiming that his religious views exempt him from homophobia is no different from saying that Christians who believed in the “Curse of Ham” to justify the enslavement of Africans two hundred years ago weren’t racist.
You bumped this to say that?
Maybe he wants to change his mind. I used to be against gay marriage. Then, after years of casually thinking about it, I realized my position made no logical sense.
Now that this thread is bumped, is Chick-Fil-A still giving large amounts of money to such groups as the AFA?
