…but what’s the deal with “organic” vegetables? I mean, inorganic vegetables just don’t sound at all appetizing…

Simple

Organic vegetables have no herbicides; pesticides or other chemicals put on them or added to them at any level of production. From the ground to the grocery store, touched only by several dirty hands and nature.
