Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 55 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 71 and mostly N.O.S. this afternoon. TWPTB say tomorrow it will be 75 Amurrkin. Rain is supposed to move in tomorrow night with temps returnin’ to more normal January after that. We shall see. Today is geezer day so I shall go to the Pubic Sto’ for some provisions. I shall procure a couple pieces of salmon for tonight’s suppage whilst there. Sides TBD. Other than that who knows what the day will bring. OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Purtification must also commence if’n I am to be about the public at the Pubic Sto. Rah. Happy Hump Day Y’all! ---

No fog this morning, so an easy commute, except that I wanted to be sleeping. Why is it when I didn’t have to come to work, I slept long and deeply, but now I’m back to the waking-every-few-hours routine? So unfair. Happy Wednesday anyway… ---

I have procured comestibles from the Pubic Sto’. Very few people in there while I was there so I got in and out quick. YAY! I have salmon marinatin’ and still need to decide on sides. Maybe I’ll do **flytrap’s** favorite succotash. ---

Blurf. I have the Code that Ate Pennsylvania. All I know is that it’s viral and not bacterial, so no antibiotics and no idea of how long it’ll last, just that I have to ride it out. My voice, when I have it, is scratchy and deep. I left early last night and might just stay home again tonight. That’s what sick time is for, and Lord knows I’m sick. ---

Still wet outside, but no rain falling at the moment. My neighbors puppy (Labradoodle) had to come say hi this morning when I went to get my newspaper. Dog has more energy than a nuclear plant and my neighbor says they walk him a lot, but doesn’t seem to slow him down. Not going to bore you with the details, but even my office mate couldn’t figure out WTF was going on. Can’t blame the full moon, alas. Severe lack of chocolate at my desk. And if the fever hangs on for more than a day or two, see your local MD. We already have one young man dead near here from the flu; not exactly how I would want to go. (I prefer being shot by some jealous husband over a 23 year old red-head when I’m in my 90s) Other than that just up and getting some reading done from the Jesuit Relations in New France. And trying to decide if I want to fill in some missing books. Interesting (to me) reading but the darn things get pricey as Hell. ---

Morning all. Glad kitteh is feeling **Butters**. **Pooka Bear** has decided that he is brave enough to climb the stairs all by himself without a cookie. Yay! Add another **blurf** to the tally for me today. It looks like we’ve settled back into our winter pattern of rain and clouds. No idea for dinner tonight. I’ve been craving poke roast, so maybe we’ll do that. Hubby has been making succotash recently. I think the kids are getting sick of it. I’ll try to sway him towards another veg for tonight. Old folks need that extra height, y’know. Have some grab bars put in while you’re at it. (When I remodeled our main bathroom 25+ years ago I thought briefly about putting in the blocking for grab bars while I had the walls open, but decided I could do it during the next remodel, which never happened. Wish now I had.) Tonight is paella night at the Subterra restaurant! I’m excited. Wifey is kinda excited. She loves paella night but is not looking forward to sitting at table for 2 to 3 hours with her new knee. We’ll see how it goes. Happy hum day y’all! ---
