Not self-defense. Ripping the mace out of her hands after being attacked with no provocation? Sure. Nearly beating her to death? No.

I’m not personally a fan of the Interweb Association of Message Board Psychics, who think they can unlock all the secrets of another’s personality from a few random sentences of dickless internet tough-guy hyperbole. Nevertheless. It _was_ a creepy comment, and talking about a "pool of blood’ is another creepy comment, and your current spin that you were talking purely about self-defense, without the over-the-top violence, is simply post hoc backpedaling.

You were writing violent macho bluster, and got called on it. Grow some thicker skin.
