Here’s the thing. Dorner was killing people and that was really bad. Murder in fact. People disapprove of murder. Duh. But the LAPD is a cesspool of corruption and incompetence. Everyone in and around LA knows this. They switch police chiefs every few years and nothing changes. It was almost better when Daryl Gates was Chief for life and everybody knew what a bastard he was. How corrupt is the LAPD? Well, The Shield was loosely based on real events, and now with Dorner playing Shane Vandrill, it is less loosely. Having the LAPD exposed for its corruption and incompetence is somewhat relieving. ---

The town I live in currently has no police force, as the chief was arrested for selling confiscated weapons and the remainder of the force was previously laid off. ---

For instance, I just logged on to reply to **kaylasdad99** and Fiddler has logged 538 traffic events in the last few minutes, most of it cookie traffic. ---

Guests may have subscribed threads, which cannot be checked unless logged on. And then there is that little blue arrow (first unread) which works rather poorly unless you are logged on. ---
