I’ve mentioned this before, but that dirty video on the Internet that made Paris Hilton a tabloid megastar. All throughout, I could not stop asking, “That’s it? No, seriously, that’s it? Good lord, that’s it??”
The firestorm over Lance Armstrong’s blood doping…which had no testimony of any kind by anyone who could’ve been involved to support it, and no eyewitness evidence, and no physical evidence, and no previous pattern of behavior, and no scientific analysis that could’ve possibly supported such an allegation, and no investigation by any cycling authority (who’d be scared to death of the possibility of an insanely popular champion being dirty)…what the freak was this? That this lasted longer than the Curt Schilling “painted sock” BS was beyond belief.
Nearly everything involving Friends, most of all the idea that the characters were bad role models because they weren’t seen at their jobs and junk. Um, hello…sitcom? Fiction? Didn’t we already hash this out with The Cosby Show?
Anything controversy involving college football’s national championship, which, as far as I’m concerned, has slightly less credibility than The Slammys.
And I’m pushing it a bit here but…the Osama Bin Laden videos, which were really nothing more than our punishment for not capturing him when we had the chance.
Pretty much everything else I had in mind has been said.
