My town has had three gay mayors in a row now, and the two former mayors are still on the city council. You’d expect no different in Cambridge, Massachusetts! (The mayor here is just an elevated city councilor, but still.) The previous mayor was even black, female, and married, but I’m not sure about religious affiliation. ---

Berlin, Germany has had an openly Gay mayor for many years (don’t know if he still is mayor, but he was elected several years ago). The fact that he was Gay was huge news for about 20 minutes. Never seemed to be a problem with the press, even when he and his partner would meet with visiting dignitaries, and it didn’t seem to be a big problem for the visiting dignitaries either. ---

Hey! All these popular gay married male mayors are starting to get me worried about the position of us women here. Women traditionally held the position of dignitaries’ wife. What if gay men are -gasp- \*better \*at that then we are? Them gays took fashion from us, they took showbizz gossip from us, and now they will also take from us this last bastion of feminine power? :mad: 😉 ---
