She reinvented herself once on Fox, and another time unsuccessfully on NBC. Fox News thought she would have cross-over appeal into the valued 18-55 demographic, which advertisers like. NBC thought she could pull in a few more conservatives while maintaining the broad base required on a main channel. (While Fox News does well by some cable metrics, it’s still a niche audience. For example among morning shows NBC, ABC and CBS have an _average_ audience of [11.542 million](https://www.adweek.com/tvnewser/here-are-morning-show-ratings-for-2017-2018-season-q3-and-the-week-of-sept-17/378199) and falling. As a contrast, Fox News’ top show (Hannity) only pulls in 3,026,000. The interesting part is that they didn’t have Kelly drop to become a co-host or even a correspondent. They felt that putting her on the air lost them more viewers than they gained, in any capacity. That sounds worse than it is: I trust her brand has substantial value in certain environments. Since I grew a beard pretty early I got to take my decision day test when I was only 11. I assume your decision day was the same, right? How old were you when you made your decision? ---
