Mein eyes. Zees goggles, ze do nothing. Seriously though, is this blue color going to be the one settled upon? To me, it is a bit… garish. ---

I like it. It’s sporty and attractive. Props to the admins for getting us to this point, and a wish that they not stop here and fix a couple of other things. ---

Is anyone else using the “Straight Dope” view mode (selected from the drop-down menu at the bottom of the page)? Havn’t seen anyone mention it. I tried it a little while ago and now the forums/threads run the full width of my screen, and the SD banner is at the top of every page. I’m still adjusting to the dark-blue/white color scheme – it seems stark to my eyes and I liked the muted colors of the “default” format better, but maybe that’s because I have my colors in other apps set for muted contrast. I much prefer the full width, though! ---

I’m going to agree with \*\*Amp]/b] and **peterW** - this color scheme is a bit off-putting. I too vastly prefer the previous “new” one. Of course I realize you can’t please all the people all the time. However that being the case I think an acceptable compromise would be to try to please **me** most of the time :). - Tamerlane ---

I hadn’t noticed that; it was definitely added after the upgrade. My guess is that they’re currently working on it, and they’ll make it the default scheme when they’re done. They just haven’t announced it yet. I do wonder how they’re deciding on it, though. If they’re looking at people’s complaint posts for input, then they should know that _some of us who have really good ideas have been keeping our complaints/suggestions to ourselves_ like we were asked. 😉 ---

I don’t like the new bright blue/purple change - too garish and the font sucks. Thanks to **Scarlett76** for pointing out the drop-down dealio - using plain old VB style now. yay! 😃 ---

Does the “Straight Dope” mode use different colors for visited and unvisited links? I’m using the “Bright Links” mode for that reason, but if I would prefer to use the “official” form. ---

Ooo, I like this view! The real masthead is back, and the reading space isn’t so narrow any more. The color dazzles my eyes a little bit, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. ---

Can’t say whether it’s better or worse than stock vBulletin. However, so many sites have the plain Jane unaltered vBulletin graphic scheme, so it’s good to see something different. Otherwise, all the boards seem forgettable, as if they’re blending into one. I think UnaBoard uses the old SDMB color scheme. ---

I’m getting blue or white backgrounds randomly, and my view type is “Straight Dope” Reading black text on blue is hard! (Hitting CTRL-A to select all text will reverse it to white text on black and make it readable.) A lot of the pages also end up with a yellow exclamation icon at the bottom and “Done, but with errors on page” which usually indicates some funky Java.
