# Melamine-tainted pet food in other countries or just US?

Has anyone heard of tainted pet food/pet deaths in countries besides the US? I know the wheat came from China, and I’m sure they export the same product to many countries.

We have two pet cats that we feed commercial cat food purchased here in Egypt, and I’m a little spooked.

There were some in Canada, but IIRC they came from the same manufacturer.
