# member seeing ads?

Has something changed? I thought members didn’t get ads.  
It happens when I scroll to the bottom of the page.

If you are seeing ads in unexpected places on other sites you visit, it is likely that your computer has been infected by malware.

Make sure you are actually logged in. It should show your user name and some other stuff on the upper right side of the page. Sometimes the cookies get corrupted or some similar type of problem and the SDMB doesn’t think you are logged in any more, and then you’ll see ads.

If you are logged in and still seeing ads, my first thought would be malware, as **Absolute** mentioned.

Things like adblock and noscript help prevent many malware attacks simply by filtering off many of the common malware vectors.

As a member you shouldn’t be seeing ads at all.

What kind of ad is it? Is it the same one or something new and different?

Is anyone else seeing this?
