Memento . .one of the greatest movies?

I hate to be the party pooper of this thread, but I just saw Momento this weekend and a few things flew over my head.

SPOILERS AHEAD! SPOILERS AHEAD!

So did Leonard kill him wife? Or was it Sammy? Did Sammy exist, or was he made up? Did Leonard’s wife survive the rape, only to be killed with an insulin injection? Was Teddy really a cop? Was he good or bad? What was up with the drug dealer, Dodd and Natalie’s boyfriend? Why did he kill Natalie’s boyfriend - was it because of the drug connection to his wife’s death?

I really liked the movie, but the end confused the hell out of me, especially once Leonard comments that he creates memories to attain happiness. Did he create the

If someone could explain the ending to me, I would love them forever and ever. Otherwise, I thought the movie was ingenius and Guy Pierce was incredible. How he managed to make the character funny is beyond me. I don’t know if it’s the best ever (I’d nominate “Casablanca”) but it was excellent.

Hey, where’d the rest of my post go?

Did he create the murder to give himself a goal, or to absolve himself? Was Sammy even real?

This is a thread from April, when it first came out. It is a couple of pages and just about every theory on the planet was bandied about. It’s an interesting read for fans of the movie.

I’m still not sure what my take on the movie is; I’m going to see it at least two or three more times.
