From _Star Trek_: The model of the USS Enterprise from the original series. It’s the one currently hanging in the Smithsonian. From _Lost In Space_: The Chariot. (An SUV I wouldn’t be mind being seen in.) Several of the tiny Robots from the episode “The Mechanical Men”. From _Mystery Science Theater 3000_: An original Crow or Servo puppet (copies are available from fans). The original logo globe (went for over $4000 on eBay a few years ago). The Sci-Fi Channel era Satellite of Love. ---

Oh! I forgot, a stillsuit from the first (and only, IMO) _Dune_ movie. One of the few timew where the prop looked better than what I had immagined. ---

Great thread idea! The single most valuable piece of music memorabilia as yet unauctioned is probably Paul McCartney’s 1964 Fender Stratocaster bass guitar. (His much-played Hofner bass is also a much-coveted piece.) But I’d settle for a B&W publicity photo from **Help!**. From the movies: The big rubber octopus used in **Ed Wood**. What I’d like to know is whether it was the same rubber octopus used by Ed Wood in **Bride of the Atom** … does anybody happen to know? The police officer’s singed boots from **Repo Man** – which was all that was left of said officer after he opened the trunk of the '64 Chevy Malibu. David Byrne’s oversized suit from **Stop Making Sense**. From **The Wicker Man** : the hobby horse costume, the Punch costume, the police sergeant’s uniform, the ghastly “Hand of Glory” candle, and Beech Buchanan’s headstone would all be really neat, if somewhat disturbing, props to own. One of the everlasting gobstoppers from **Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory**. The zither played throughout (but always unseen, of course) from **The Third Man** , Kirk Douglas’ ukulele from **20,000 Leagues Under the Sea** and the bouzouki played onscreen in Monty Python’s “Cheese Shop” skit. The Holy Grail from the second Indiana Jones movie, and the Holy Hand Grenade from **Monty Python and the Holy Grail**. Bond’s trick attache case (with throwing knife, exploding gas canister, and fifty gold sovereigns) from **From Russia With Love** , although I’d happily settle for his black Greek captain’s hat, from the same movie. ---

A few more ('cause I’m greedy): Another vote here for the Orgasmatron, from Woody Allen’s **Sleeper**. Another prop from same: the flattened nose of the Great Leader.) One of the alien eggs from **Alien**. (There were also a bunch of eggs in **Aliens** , but Ripley put them to the torch.) The brass mechanical owl from **Clash of the Titans**. The big hourglass from **The Wizard of Oz**. (Of course, one of the flying monkeys would be just swell.) The mummy of Mrs. Bates, from **Psycho**. Madonna’s (and then Rosanna Arquette’s) pyramid denim jacket, from **Desperately Seeking Susan**. Audrey Hepburn’s cigarette holder from **Breakfast at Tiffany’s** , and Kathleen Turner’s white dress from **Body Heat**. The tiny droid used for Jedi target practice in **Star Wars**. ---

I’d like Marilyn Monroe’s dress from the _Seven Year Itch_ - cliched I know, but I’m sure my SO would get a kick out of it if he saw me wearing it and standing over a subway vent (too bad we don’t have an underground rail system in Dublin yet :rolleyes: ). Can’t think of anything else really - Dr Zhivago’s mother’s balalaika (sp?) would have been good but someone else already took that… Ooh ooh wait - Cyd Charise’s costume from the ‘Broadway Ballet’ number in _Singin’ in the Rain_.
