Oh shit, I had no idea. He posted normally and just happened to die young- what a shame. He was a really interesting poster with a different take on things to say the least. I thought he was one of the guys who got lost in the shuffle or just found his priorities were taking him elsewhere. I wish that’d been the case. With the OP’s permission I’ll change the thread title to indicate that this is a memorial thread. ---

Not just Orangeburg ties, but he used to come to Columbia every once in a while, while he was in college in Orangeburg. I mentioned to him to come drop by Longhorn some evening when he was in town and chit-chat, but, unfortunately, that never happened. ---

Askia was my number one favorite poster of all time. It is because of him that I fell in love with this place. Long before I was able to post, I lurked longingly at his posts, pretty much a full out groupie. R.I.P. ---
