I was wondering how common it is for women to seduce a man she is interested in. Is this rare in real life? It seems commonplace in many Hollywood films, but we all know what fairy tales they produce. It appears more common for women to wait for a man to make the first move. I’m not asking about a woman making the first move, I’m asking about actual seduction where a woman uses her charms to lure a man into being intimate with her, when otherwise he wouldn’t have given the thought of being with her a second thought. ---

I wonder if this is something of a self-continuing phenomenon: (1) It’s much easier for a woman to seduce a man than the other way around; (2) Since that’s the case, women are less likely to actively try to seduce a man, since it is preferable to be pursued than to pursue; (3) The pattern continues; men do most of the seducing and pursuing. ---
