Men can wear whatever they want, but Iā€™m generally not in favor of kilts. Dijon Warlockā€™s picture is the most compelling evidence in favor of them that Iā€™ve seen yetā€“I think the big bushy beard is important. ---

[/QUOTE] No, eight yards is the standard length of a proper round the waist only kilt - the pleats take up a lot I guess. If a guyā€™s dressed that way from his kilt to his whatever-you-call-that-hat, more power to him. If a guy is merely replacing his trousers with a kilt, heā€™s making a more courageous fashion statement than I would. My mom was a tall, leggy dame, and she was fond of short, pleated, plaid skirts. When I try to picture myself in a kilt, I keep flashing back to Mom. I often wore running shorts in the hot factory, so itā€™s not that Iā€™m scared to show my legs. Maybe Iā€™d feel differently if I had lived on the other side of town, where the Highland HS marching band has a bagpipe section. In one of those television shows where a crew builds a massive ancient war machine from scratch, one of the builders wore a khaki kilt. He said, when he found out there were women in the crew, he decided heā€™d have to add underwear to work on the upper parts of the machine.
