A woman’s nipples which had a lot of really long hairs spoiled it for me, once. When with another woman, in semi-darkness, I stuck my tongue into a navel which full of lint. Regarded that as a really bad omen. ---

[/QUOTE] When I met my wife she was shaven, as were the last 20 something women I have been with. From what I understood, a lot of women shave because they enjoy it also, they get more pleasure. So add this to bad sex for me…too much hair. I am visual and like to see in detail what I am eating. ---

You guys should bite the bullet and try shaving. Just use moisturizer and be careful of the razor burn. It’s really not that big a deal and it _does_ feel different. Better? That’s up to you. you might find it’s a kink you like. ---

[/QUOTE] A little bar soap and a disposable razor. Takes an extra 2 minutes in the shower every day. No big deal. OK, the first occasion of hair removal is a big deal. Plan on spending most of the day. Avoid the temptation to use a beard trimmer. Seriously, avoid the temptation. I’m not kidding. ---

I’m intrigued, from a sociological perspective, that the interest in bald [pudenda](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pudenda) seems to have coincided with the spread of AIDS, the revival of prophylactic-free oral sex as alternative to intercourse, and the current vogue of cunnilingus. As one who visits dating sites, I’ve definitely seen a change in what men brag about, and it’s all about cunnilingus now. In our increasingly sterile world, I can see why some prefer to see what they’re eating. However, as one who has had plenty of pubic hairs caught between her teeth over the years, it’s no big deal. Really. Personally, I like man-scent. ---

I’m not seriously accusing anyone of pedophilia, though there is a certain sentiment underlying this pubic hair issue that is bothersome to me. I think the gross-out on women’s body hair is just as tiresome and offensive as you think my sentiments were. Saying that a woman with pubic hair is unattractive or that a woman is unacceptable with pubes seems like a form of blatant chauvanism to me, since it is an expectation that generally men have for women that women do not have for men. Yes, some men do it, but it is not expected nor have I ever heard of a woman rejecting a man because he had pubes. ---

There was a article recently on Salon about this, and many of the respondents were rather vehement in the characterizations of men who prefered shaved being in-the-closet pedophiles. Different people prefer different things, and fads come and go. This preference is little different than long hair versus short hair; blond versus brunette; or cherry, lemon, orange, grapefruit or cantaloupes (figger it out). Personally, neatly trimmed is fine. Too much and it is no fun to go downtown. Other than that, whatever the ladies preference is fine by me. ---

I think that men (and women!) generally have different expectations of “acceptable” grooming and attractiveness for women than they do for men. ---

My wife personally likes when I shave. I am not in for starting another thread about hairy or not hairy, but it might be a good one if anyone is interested. Although I am sure there are a million out there, go for it anyway, if everyone wants to debate this. ---

It sure wouldn’t make the sex _BAD_ - just not ideal. Further, to the whole “woman being shaved” thing - there are some of us that are **TOO** sensitive down there for that to be workable. Don’t get me wrong - I keep things neat and tidy, but if I’m _totally_shaved (as opposed to just “key areas”) you pretty much can’t get anywhere near the thing because it’s too sensitive. I know for some guys, right after ejaculation the head of the penis is _REALLY_ sensitive where it’s almost painful if you apply too much pressure to it (or any, really). Well, imagine that _ALL THE TIME_ - it really makes things not so much fun. It makes me sad to think that some fella might right me off as “A Bad Lay” because I need a bit of a buffer down there. ☹ ---

I think it’s rude to expect a person to remove large quantities of body hair, regardless of who does it. If you want to shave or whatever, for yourself, that’s fine, but requiring it? Not cool. As for women being more selective than men, eh. I’ve seen more fugly guys with hot girls than hot guys with fugly girls. Women seem to tolerate a much greater range of appearances in men, but now we’re getting to the realm of opinions and I’m not sure we’re going to change each other’s minds on this.
