I was in the barbershop (actually goes by that name, complete with stripey pole out front) the other day to have my beard made kempt. Went to the cashier’s to pay and she started describing other services I might be interested in. Glanced down at [my nails](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=158047&highlight=nails) as she started a new sentence, then trailed off looking a bit unsettled…

No, I don’t have much use for manicures.
