To breastfeed or not to breastfeed? How young to start solids? Do you push potty training or let them do on their own time? And so on and so forth. And then there’s the vaccine stuff. The vaccine stuff can be incredibly scary especially if you’re not a science person. Only it’s not really all that scary. It really isn’t. The vaccine stuff is actually one of the easier parenting decisions you’re going to make. You vaccinate if you can. And if your child has a serious vaccine reaction you beg others to vaccinate so your child doesn’t get whooping cough or measles or mumps. Unless you read the shit that Jenny McCarthy and her ilk put out. She makes a fairly easy decision that much harder. She can sound convincing especially if you later have a child on autistic spectrum. Based on the shit she spews no one would vaccinate their child. Why the hell would you if you read any of her allegations? And that just sucks. That’s a whole hell of a lot different than someone telling you that she knows all about your personality because you were born on July 15th. ---

Dammit I’m not a guy but I think women should be included! I would date her at least once if I wasn’t taken and she was in to girls. I have a daughter who was misdiagnosed with autism and I know her desperation. I pity her for the beliefs she holds and would try to convince her otherwise if she brought it up, but she seems like a really FUN person other than that. She seems to have a silly sense of humor too. I don’t care about looks so much but she is lovely to me, whether she’s had plastic surgery or not. ---

Currently bang… I mean dating someone that I’m not terribly compatible with. She is nowhere near as hot as Jenny. Of course I would date her. She seems to have a good sense of humor too. Even though she has an issue she pushes I don’t that it would be the only thing she talks about over drinks. ---

I’ve always liked her looks, but I voted no, for reasons quoted herein and more. I could probably let the vaccine thing pass–how much would it really affect your dating life with her?–but the smoking would be a deal-breaker. (I didn’t know that she smoked.) Beyond that, though, there is the evidence of first-hand eyewitness accounts. Adam Carolla had McCarthy on Loveline many years ago, and his negative reaction to her personality is well-known (he brings up what a pain in the ass she is any time her name gets mentioned). Plus, I worked at Ubisoft last summer while they were preparing the release of their fitness game/program, “Your Shape with Jenny McCarthy.” I had no contact with JM, but I worked with the project manager who was one of the people who did have some direct dealings with her. She (the pm) was desperate for that project to be out the door and out of her hair. By the end of the production cycle, her name was mud in that office. Apparently, the lowdown is true: McCarthy is a world class cooze. Thus, while I too would normally call bullshit on any man who said he wouldn’t date/fuck her, you should probably take a guy at his word in this case. Odds are, you wouldn’t get anywhere near a bedroom–or even an appropriate, semi-yielding surface–before she drove you batshit crazy just from being around her. There are easier ways to make a living, as they say. ---

I think a lot of guys in here want to sound like they’re cool by saying they’d turn her down… but if she walked up to them in reality and asked them out I think very few would turn her down. ---
