Somebody printed out this picture – with no attribution or URL – and left it out here at work. I looked for it on-line, but couldn’t find it, but I’ve stumbled across it at Snopes. I checked to see if thjis had been posted here, andf haven’t turned up anything. Last time I went to Singapore, I used a restroom. It had a one-way mirror integated into the urinal. ---

Most of the urinals in New Zealand from **Yeticus Rex** ’s site are shockingly utilitarian – big metal boxes that allow several guys to pee at once. No decoration, or privacy. I admit I rather like it in some mens rooms (usually in restaurants with a sports theme) when they put a framed newspaper at eyelevel above the urinal – usually either the sports page or the funny pages, sometimes the headlines. I’ve seen individual TV screens above urinals too – talk about fancy. In some city in Europe (Amsterdam I think?) I found an open-air urinal on the street. It was basically a big kind of metal column with little privacy walls jutting out from the four corners and running water. At first it wasn’t obvious what it was, but sure enough guys were going up and using it. Better than just peeing on the street corner, I guess. You know how sometimes they have stickers of flies on the inside of the urinal? I saw a urinal sticker once put out by an anti-rape group: “The power to stop rape is in your hands.” Pretty clever. ---

It’s like, “but I’m not going to rape anyone anyway, so how’s MY penis going to stop rape, unless they’re saying I should find rapists and pummel them with my cock or something.” Which, admittedly, might be pretty effective–I mean, if you’re a guy, and some other guy starts smacking you in the face with his equipment, you’re probably gonna stop no matter what you’re doing. ---

Actually, I suspect they’re like these _outdoor_ urinals at Charing Cross, London (From Yeticus’ link): [http://urinal.net/charing\_cross/](http://urinal.net/charing_cross/) They say that these are intended for night use only, and are carted away in daytime, but then what are they doing in this picture, out in the day? Being american, I find those open air urinals a little shocking, out in the open like that…BUT I would use those if I apsapositivlutely needed to go right then and there. On, the site’s top 10 list is [#5 - Mystique Night Club in Bangkok.](http://www.urinal.net/mystique/) Only in Bangkok, man…only in Bangkok.
