> Blech. I know (on a smaller scale) how it feels to be robbed near xmas since someone ganked 50 bucks from my checking account through paypal and I STILL have no idea how they got my password. If I was big into holidays (I’m not) I’d be really depressed this week. sigh.

> Thankfully it was immediately flagged as fraudulent and I’m only a couple days away from having Paypal put the money back into my bank account. But robbery the week before Christmas, what a shitcunt thing to do.

I think during the week before Christmas, there is more burglary, robbery, fraud, purse-snatching, bank robbery, and breaking into cars to steal stuff than at any other time of the year. Most galling is the thefts of Christmas gifts being held at a church or a social services agency to give to the poor - it’s so loathesome, and people are good hearted and often make contributions to replace the stuff. But still! What is some druggie going to do with a hundred toiletry kits, or stuffed animals, or candy canes?
