David, I will miss you. I’m not sure how to ask this without seeming ghoulish, but many here would appreciate it if you can make arrangements to let our community know when you have passed. **David** , somehow your photograph reflects the mischief that I’ve always felt lurking behind some of your most serious posts. Although I believe that you are indeed a gentle and noble man, I expect you to leave us with a flourish – a pinwheel on the end of your nose or a rose clinched in your teeth. _This_ old soldier can’t just fade away. If the fates allow, from time to time I will look back through your posts. They were always worthwhile. Maybe I’ll find just what I need as I so often have. I will make it a point to think about you on Veteran’s Day and the Fourth of July. And if you tell us your birthday, I’ll celebrate that day too!
