[/QUOTE] I dunno about that, but at least it probably means that DC will finally give the MM their own book again. Apart from the deservedly hated miniseries from 1993, there hasnā€™t been a Metal Men comic since the '70s, and their subsequent appearances in other titles have been mostly pretty marginal. ---

[/QUOTE] I sure hope, for the fans here, that they do a better job this time with it, than they did in 1993. I got that during my comics period, and, wellā€¦ ummā€¦ egads. Itā€™s really my only exposure to the franchise, and I sure hope the classic stories were better. ---

(One issueā€™s cover had a rare two-panel format. First panel had some evil giant robot threatening to ā€œReduce you all to a pile of **bolts!** ā€ā€¦second panel showed the Metal Men defiantly shouting in unison: **ā€œNuts!!!ā€** ) One thing that makes me so fond of the old Metal Men, and their contemporary Metamorpho, is the way the writers kept inserting chemistry facts into the dialogue (ā€œG-g-gosh, m-m-my melting point is o-only 231.9Ā° C!ā€ ā€œOh yeah, ya little pipsqueak, well _Iā€™m_ the only metal that is liquid at room temperature!ā€). I always figured it was all propaganda to try to get the kids interested in careers in science so we could beat the Russkies in the space race.
