# Metro-North crash and derailment in Bridgeport

Looks like a southbound train [derailed](http://www.cnn.com/2013/05/18/us/connecticut-train-derails/index.html?hpt=hp_t2), and a northbound train on the opposite track struck it.
Lots of injuries but no deaths reported, fortunately.

Metro-North trains aren’t supposed to get into such shenanigans. This is the first collision in more than 20 years.
